They’re so easy. Here’s how.
Embroidery Hoop Ornament How-to:
- Scrap fabric
- Small embroidery hoop
- Pom pom trim
- Red craft paint
- Black felt
- Hot glue gun
Step 1: Pull the embroidery hoop circles apart. Trace the outside hoop onto the piece of black felt. Cut out felt circle.
Step 2: Paint the embroidery hoop with craft paint. Note: only the outside hoop needs to be painted because the inside/smaller hoop will be covered by the fabric.
Step 3: Once the paint dries, turn the fabric over and trace the hoop onto the fabric. Note: if you’re using a patterned fabric that has lines make sure you align it properly before tracing it. Cut out the fabric circle.
Step 4: Place fabric circle in between the two embroidery hoops. Pay extra attention to alignment of fabric before you put the top hoop on.
Step 5: Trim off excess fabric.
Step 6: Hot glue pom pom trim on backside of embroidery hoop. Tip: it’s best to start at the top of the hoop for better alignment with the pom pom’s. Once you glued the trim on you can hot glue the black felt circle on top of the pom pom trim.
That’s it. Easy peasy in just 6 simple steps!
