Now that the holidays are upon us, it’s time for your Elf on a Shelf to come and visit! What is Elf on a Shelf? Elf on a Shelf is a super fun Christmas Tradition that allows one (or more) of Santa’s Elves to come and live at your home; temporarily, of course. The elf is Santa’s eyes and ears, so it’s necessary for him or her to sneak around the house. Unfortunately, most Elf on a Shelf helpers can’t help but get into tons of mischief once they are out of Santa’s sight. Every Elf on a Shelf has a unique name. Our Elf on the Shelf is named Olivia, and she is a trouble maker! (laughing). This year, we’ve decided that she needs a friend, so stay tuned for more Elf on a Shelf ideas with her new friend! Here are our 7 Best Elf on a Shelf Ideas since everyone should be prepared for a little Elf on the Shelf mayhem. (smile)
About Elf on a Shelf
To learn more about the origins of The Elf on the Shelf, you have to check out the children’s book written by Carol Aebersold and Chanda Bell and illustrated by Coë Steinwart. It’s a story meant for Christmas written in rhyme that explains just how Santa knows who is naughty and nice. It illustrates the elves visiting homes after Thanksgiving until Christmas Eve before they return to the North Pole!
