DIY Bridal Sash

DIY Bridal Sash {prom, wedding}

Adding a rhinestone sash can instantly add elegance and sophistication to any plain dress. They make a lovely accent piece to a prom, bridesmaid, or even a wedding dress. We were inspired by Anthropologie BHLDN’s rhinestone sashes, but didn’t want to spend around $200 dollars for one, so we came up with a quick and easy knock-off for about $20. Surprisingly, they are easier to make than you’d imagine, and the best part is that they are completely customizable. When you make the DIY Bridal Sash, YOU pick the ribbon and you pick the jewelry. They also make great homemade gifts! If you can use pliers then you can make a bridal sash. It’s a win/win. Here’s how.

Bridal Sash How to

Step 1: We made our bridal sash using 2 rhinestone bracelets that were purchased from Charming Charlie’s. You could also use a necklace. Start by removing both end links that include the clasps and ring hook.

Step 2: You can now attach the two bracelets together by hooking one end of a bracelet to the other.

Step 3: Once you’ve combined the two bracelets you can reattach a link to each end. Use the pliers to close the link by gently pressing them together.
