This gorgeous Anthropologie inspired pom pom wreath is versatile and can be used throughout the year. The best part, this DIY wreath is so beautiful by itself you don’t have to add any embellishments to it, just change out the ribbon for each season or holiday. If this Christmas wreath doesn’t get you ready for the season, we don’t know what will.
DIY Christmas Wreaths
Christmas Wreath How-to:
Supplies:
- Pom pom wreath
- Village house ornament, we found ours at Joann’s
- Bottle brush trees, 2
- Sequin fabric, 1/8 yard, we found ours at Hobby Lobby
- Wire cutters
Step 1: We made our pom pom wreath using EAB Designs step by step tutorial, but used a styrofoam wreath form instead of the straw one. Making the yarn pom pom’s is the most tedious part of the tutorial so we’d suggest making them while watching a movie. (wink) Once you have the pom pom’s made you can pin them to the wreath form. Now you’ll have the perfect year round wreath. Just change the ribbons for each season/holiday.
Step 2: While shopping at Joann’s fabric store we eyed this gorgeous village house ornament. It even has a little switch on the bottom to light it up. You’ll want to use wire cutters to snip the wire loop from the top of the ornament.
Step 3: Tie your sequin fabric on the wreath form.
Step 4: Because we want to use the wreath year round we chose not to adhere the house or bottle brush trees. They nestle in the wreath perfectly. Another reason to not adhere them is if your house lights up like ours you’ll need access to turn it on and off. Once Christmas is over we can easily remove them and change the ribbon for the next holiday.
That’s it. Easy peasy in a few steps.
